Dear friends and supporters,

Thank you so much for your love and support during this campaign. We fought the good fight and we lost. It was an honor to receive the votes of thousands of my fellow South Jerseyans, and a privilege to spend two months crisscrossing the 2nd District getting to know my neighbors.

Though I plan to keep this website active as an archive, I will be supporting the Democratic nominee — State Senator Jeff Van Drew — in November. I have disagreed with his stances on many issues, but the stakes in this election are far too high to let those disagreements prevent me from doing the right thing. We need to establish at least a modicum of balance in Congress, and the only way to do that is to elect Democrats.

Please do what you can to support Democrats in swing districts in New Jersey and across the country. Knock on doors. Make phone calls. Write letters to the editor. Donate. And, of course, vote!

Donald J. Trump is the President — a waking nightmare of division, fear and backwardness every day — because far too many good people sat on their hands in 2016. This is our election to lose. Let's not make the same mistake again.
